A couple of small knit thingies
I'm getting close to done with the recent Big Project of Doom, but I got digressed by a couple of Very Small Projects.
(Huh, I can stop outsourcing my images?  Keen!   Nope, it doesn't seem to like embedding more than one image.)

Two "kawaii potatoes" for my niece.   The brown one was first, before I realized that kawaii potatoes are definitionally pink, so I made it potato-colored.   The second one was after I was (very politely) informed that I had done it wrong. :)   Then there was apparently some angst over the idea that she might have to choose between them.   Because, you know, I have so many other people clamoring for kawaii potatoes.   (I shouldn't say that.  Last time it led to Octopus Wars).

Then a tea cozy (well, I guess that's not the official name) for shumashi. It's kind of slippy on the glass, but hopefully will be less so on paper.   (Those are leaves.  It looks pretty neat for the amount of easy it was.)

I would never have figured out that the pink one was supposed to be a potato rather than probably-cartoon-origin bouncy cute thing. :)

Potato races!

<img src=[image url]"> has always worked for me for embedding images in lj posts, but that assumes using the html editor rather than the visual editor.

That HTML still works, and is what I ended up using. But there was an "insert image" button that didn't require hosting the image somewhere else first, which seemed intriguing. :)

Potatoes, huh?
I was guessing you were knitting board game pieces from the the picture

(And now I seriously want to knit some itty bitty board game markers)

Is there a pattern online for that teacup cozy?

Yeah, crochet game pieces frequently tempt me. I saw a really funny sheep-and-wolves checkers set a bit back that almost got me to started.

Leaf Cup Cuddler.

The potatoes are larger than they look from the picture - they're more like actual potato size! (The picture makes them look teeny to me as well; there seems to be some automatic "little cute thing is *little*" brain processing. :) )

Kawaii potatoes! They are indeed just so kawaii! I love them.
