I've been watching
Pushing Daisies recently. Somehow, I seem to be spang in the middle of the target audience for something that's 25% Willy Wonka, 25% Amelie, and 50% Scooby Doo, plus surreal and ridiculously cute. But leaving all that aside, they've stuffed the show full of musical stars, and sometimes (not every episode) they let them sing! So far, Kristin Chenoweth sings
Hopelessly Devoted To You, Ellen Greene sings a remarkably moving
Morning Has Broken, and the pair of them sing an adorable excerpt from
Birdhouse In Your Soul. They're all on youtube, though if you haven't watched the show, you're not going to find the segue to synchronized swimming as touching as I did. :)
As
tirinian says "It'll never last." (And, now they're out of episodes until post-strike...)
(Oh, and also, Kristin Chenoweth, 4'11", next to Lee Pace, 6'3", is bonus amusing. She has to stand on tables and chairs to flirt with him.)
